1.Introduction

Objective:

To study whether night-time social behavior (browsing social media) is one of the causes of Revenge Bedtime Procrastination, and to compare the impact of reduced social media use and normal social media use on sleep and mood.

The reason for choosing the experimental subjects:

My stakeholders are divided into two groups: students aged 20 to 24 and young workers aged 24 to 28. This intervention will involve both groups,I want to test what impact social media has on the participants of the two groups respectively.

Intervention idea

In the interview of the intervention “Sleep Transfer “,one participant talked to me about the impact of social media on her Revenge Bedtime Procrastination. She mentioned that many people browse social media or post late at night, and the updates of TV series and short videos also occur at night. Therefore, the external environment has also promoted the behavior of Revenge Bedtime Procrastination.

2.Experiment Design

Duration:

Group A (Turn off all social media apps 1 hour before bedtime)
Group B (Use social media as usual)

Steps:

1. Each night, follow the assigned mode (A or B) starting 1 hour before bedtime.
2. Fill out the Participant Daily Log the next morning.
